Lateral Systems was engaged to help build the Raising Children Network website- designed to provide up-to-date, evidence based and quality assured early childhood and parenting information for parents, professionals and the broader community.

The Raising Children Network (RCN) is a consortium consisting of the Smart Population Foundation, Parenting Research Centre and Centre for Community Health and was selected to develop a website as part of the Australian Federal Government's Early Childhood – Invest to Grow initiative of the Stronger Families and Communities Strategy.

Results

  • The website is content rich and Verve® supports many features including member forums, multimedia, a sophisticated search engine and a printer book functionality which allows users to convert specific site content to pdfs and print out as a booklet

  • The RCN site also utilises the email authoring and casting capabilities of Verve® to send regular html e-newsletters to subscribers

  • The site is W3C accessible and a great example of how Verve®  integrates well with third party software.

The RCN website is part of a 4 year, $4 million government inititiative and the power of Verve® will enable additional features to be integrated with ease.
